The terms of a framework contract apply up to a specified period and cover a certain quantity or predefined value. So how do you recognise the difference between SAP® whether it`s a normal order or a framework contract – and, if so, what kind of agreement? Experienced sap® users among you will of course cite the type of document, which is quite accurate. Nevertheless, it is worth taking a closer look. As part of the SAP MM purchase, these agreements are divided into “contracts” and “delivery plans”. Data model: Orders and framework contracts often have a higher character. This may be the case at SAP® since the purchasing organization is essential (and which can be linked to the purchasing organization). The purchasing organization appears in the EKKO table for each agreement (box EKKO_EKORG). A delivery plan is a long-term framework contract between the supplier and the customer for predefined material or service that is provided on predefined dates within a time frame. A delivery plan can be developed in two ways: contracts are now the cornerstone of a long-term structured procurement. But concretely, what is the individual purchase on the basis of an agreement?
