On Sunday I , along with about 15,000 other people, attended on of the most terrific events I&#8217;ve been to since I moved to Portland. Inspired by <font class=\"contentHeader\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.streetfilms.org\/archives\/ciclovia\/\" target=\"_blank\">CicloVia in Bogota<\/a><\/font> city officials organized <a href=\"http:\/\/bikeportland.org\/2008\/06\/22\/thousands-of-smiles-mark-success-of-sunday-parkways\/\">Sunday Parkways<\/a> in which <font><font class=\"medium\">six miles of local streets in North Portland were closed to traffic from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. <\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m pretty sure it&#8217;s been over a week since I&#8217;ve been in my car.
