not lust but moxibustion,<\/p>\n

a substance burning close<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

to the body as possible<\/p>\n

without risk of immolation.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Nearness without contact<\/p>\n

causes numbness. Analgesia.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Pins and needles. As the snugness<\/p>\n

of the surgeon\u2019s glove causes hand fatigue.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

At least this procedure<\/p>\n

requires no swag or goody bags,<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

stuff bestowed upon the stars<\/p>\n

at their luxe functions.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

There\u2019s no dress code,<\/p>\n

though leg irons<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

are always appropriate.<\/p>\n

And if anyone says what the hell<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

are you wearing in Esperanto\u2014<\/p>\n

Kion diable vi portas<\/em>?\u2014<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

tell them anguish<\/p>\n

is the universal language.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Stars turn to train wrecks<\/p>\n

and my heart goes out,<\/p>\n

admirers gush. Ground to a velvet!<\/p>\n

But never mind the downside,<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

mon semblable, mon<\/em>\u00a0crush.<\/p>\n

Love is just the retaliation of light.<\/p>\n

It is so profligate, you know,<\/p>\n
